My Little Picaso

Today Jase let his creativity flow during his painting session.
First he painted a couple abstract pieces:
Then he painted his version of a self portrait. HaHa!

Playing with Anna and Grandpa Jack

On our way home from our shopping trip at Potomac Mills Mall we stopped by my parent's house. It had been since Christmas since we'd last been there and Anna and Jase were very excited to see each other again.

They played with bubbles and sidewalk chalk.

Put nothing compared to playing in the back of Grandpa Jack's truck! They had a blast. And I don't think I've ever heard either of them laugh as hard as they did when my dad popped his head through the back window. They both had trouble staying on their feet they were laughing so hard.

And one picture that was taken while they were playing in the bed of the truck brought to mind the country song which goes, "There's somethin' women like about a pick up man." LOL

Potomac Mills

Yesterday, we dragged Jase from one end of Potomac Mills Mall to the other. So once our shopping was done, we though it was only fair to let him take a spin on the Mini Merry-go-Round. Since the Chuck E. Cheese incident (when we put him on a monster truck that nearly threw him out), he has showed no interest in riding anything. But early in the day he watched Handy Manny and they were fixing a Merry-Go-Round, so today he was all about it. He decided he wanted to drive the choo-choo (which Rob swears was drunk...look at the face of the train. LOL) and he loved every minute of the three minute ride. The nice mommy and daddy of the other two boys who rode with him even paid for him to go around a sceond time.

Fortune Cookie

Tonight we had Chinese for dinner and Jase opened his first fortune cookie. He got the most appropriate fortune I've ever read. It said:
Great things are made
of little things.

Jase's parenting instinicts

I have always commented how, from the day we brought Jase home from the hospital, he was just a happy baby. He was a happy baby, and he's been a happy toddler. But, the other day, he showed his first sign of maybe not being the happy-go-lucky, super-sweet little boy we have been led to believe. In fact, he showed a scary, disturbed side and anyone with small babies should be scared...very scared.

So here's what happened:
For some reason he started calling me a baby. So, going along with his silliness I started gooing and gaaing and asking for a ba-ba. He thought that was funny. Then, I made the mistake of pretending to cry. I let out the typical WAAAAA!!!!! Next thing I know Jase is coming at me with a pillow. He throws it on my face, and starts pressing down on it.

The boy was smoothing me!!!!

And the whole time saying, "Here, mama. Here you go," like he was doing something good!

I couldn't believe it! So after I freed myself from my near death experience I decided to fake cry again to see what he would do this time. And again, he tried to smoother me.

So, I guess we not only need to worry about saving up for Jase's education, but we also need to save up to get him some psychiatric help! LOL

And any of you with small babies, might not want to leave them unattended while Jase is around! HaHa!

Snow Storm- Day 2

I'm warning you now that this blog entry is a long one. My dad asked for a lot of pictures and I am the wrong person to tell that too. Hope you enjoy them, though!

This morning when Jase woke up there was 11 inches of snow on the ground and it was still coming down. He took the ruler out and measured it himself.
He wanted to get out and play as soon as he woke up. So, after Rob got done clearing off the steps and side walk we headed out. The only problem was, the snow was too deep for him to walk.
Rob had to take the shovel and scrap off a few inches of snow to make a path for Jase wherever he wanted to walk so he could actually walk. Since Jase spent most of his time down in the snow instead of walking through it, Rob decided to teach Jase how to make snow angels.

After lunch and a nap we went back out for round two of fun in the the snow! Jase found that if he played on the hard snow that was piled up from plowing the drive way that he could maneuver on it better. Daddy ended up getting stuck, though, after straddling one big pile.

He played with the girls in the neighborhood for a little while. Crystal put him in a bucket and tried pulling him around...but he kept falling out.

He even got his dump truck and bull dozer out and decided to clear some snow, himself.
Right before going back inside, we played a game of snow football. Jase liked kicking the ball and tackling daddy. He had a ton of fun today and so many fun things. I personally think, though, that his favorite part of the day was spending so much time playing with Ma-Ma and Da-Da!

Fun in the Tub

Bath time has become my new favorite place to take pictures of Jase. He is confined to a very small area in there which means he can't run away from me!

Tonight bath consisted of a full grooming treatment.

1st he shaved:

Then he got a new hair dew:

And I also got some really awesome shots while he was checking himself out in the mirror:
