Sprinkler Videos

Here are videos of our fun in the sprinkler.

Sprinkler Weather

Today it was in the high 80's so we were able to break out the new sprinkler. Here are some of the pictures from it. I also got a couple really cute videos I'll post on another blog.

Daddy's Little Side Kick

This morning we had to go to Lowes and get some mulch. Jase loves going to Lowes cause they have these really cool Jimmie Johnson Race Car shopping carts and he pretends he is racing all through the store as we shop. He was so disappointed when all the car carts were taken. But, after finding a new way to ride around the store, his disappointment led to pure joy. He thought he was something else riding on the cart as daddy pushed him around.

These pictures reminded me of the section in the celebrity magazines were celebrities are caught on camera doing "normal things". They are definitely my super stars.

Twin Kiss

The spring weather is in full force and last night was Twin Kiss weather. Jase had a blast sitting outside eating his chocolate ice cream.

Director Jase

Jase was quite the little director day telling me to when and what to take pictures of. He even told us were we all had to sit.

First he wanted me to take a picture of just him.

Then he sat down beside me and handed me the camera and told me to take another picture. So I did.

Then he told Rob to sit down with us. And when Rob sat down on the wrong side Jase got very upset. So, Rob got up and sat down on the right side, and we all smile pretty.

1st Dentist Appt.

Jase had his first dentist appt. on Friday and the doc said his teeth look perfect. They didn't do a cleaning this time, but let Jase play with all the equipmet so he could get used to it. He got to go up and down in the seat, play with the water in the spit sink and play with Mr. Vacuum while the dentist sprayed water in his mouth. They were so great with him. She did count all his teeth and made sure they were nice and staight and strong and said we are doing a good job brushing them...Yay Mommy and Daddy!

Potty Training Cont.

Today was a very successful day with potty training. Except for a #2 accident, Jase's "Big Boy Underwears" stayed dry all day long. Now, there was one spraying incident when he didn't tuck it in (Ha! Ha!), but still, a really good day!

I do have to share something really hilarious, though. He doesn't like being put on the toilet every hour but since he isn't telling me when he has to go, yet, I gotta do what I gotta do. Well, today, I put him on the pot, and five seconds later I hear him go, "Psssssssss, I did it Ma-ma!" Can you belive that. He tried to fake me out! He's such a character!

New Scooter

Jase took his new scooter outside today for the first time. He knew exactly what to do with it. He would only give himself two or three good pushes and then say he was all finished. Then he would run around in the grass for a few minutes and go back to the scooter for a few more big scoots and so on and so on.

Happy Easter!!!

HAPPY EASTER!!!

Happy Easter Everyone!!!! This year Easter was so exciting for Jase. We told him a couple weeks ago that the night before Easter he was going to set out a basket before he went to bed and the Easter Bunny was going to come and fill it up with surprises. From that point on he kept saying that the Easter Bunny was going to bring him Mater and Doc from the movie Cars. He picked out his own basket and was a bundle of joy setting it and the eggs he colored out for the Easter Bunny. First thing this morning, when he wokek up, the little booger said when I walked in his room was, "I go get my basket with surprises!" He was so excited as he examined all the goodies and when he found Doc (the Easter Bunny couldn't find Mater even though he looked at every possible store like a hundred times each!) he held it up and proudly said, "The Easter Bunny got this for me from Toys R Us!" HaHa!!!!
Then we got all dressed up and headed out to church.

After taking a little break...

We went to Connie's for dinner and an Easter Egg Hunt.

Things started off very nice. Then Connie started helping Jase find his eggs. Connie is always saying she is gonna steal Jase from us. Next thing I know she has him going in to a trap! HaHa

After all the Easter eggs were found, Joy helped Jase open his and get all the candy out of them. You think maybe they had some chocolate in them?

Jase had such a good time playing with all the kids.

And he was very excited that Amber wastown during her spring break. The three of us went to my favorite spot to take pictures while at Connie's and this is what we ended up with.

We hope you all had a very blessed day!

Easter Eggs

We colored Easter Eggs Saturday night. We had two different kinds of dye. One was a new Q-tip dye that was advertised to be mess-free and easy to clean up with soap and water. Jase enjoyed using these and painted beautiful designs on his eggs.
We also had some of the old-fashioned egg dye and just like last year...the entire hand went in the cup with in seconds of putting it in front of him
Which resulted in...
And I believe we have a strong case of false advertisement. When we attempted to clean him up, the old-fashioned dye washed right off, but the Q-tip dye wouldn't come off for the life of us.
We scrubbed his hands with soap and water...that didn't work.
We used baby wipes...that didn't work.
We used those lemon scented handi wipes...that didn't work.
We used finger nail polish remover...and that didn't work!
I thought for sure he would go to church Easter Sunday dubbing his handsome Easter suit and Incredible Hulk hands. We decided to take our time getting ready for church the next morning and went to the 11 o'clock mass instead of the usual 9 o'clock. I wisely used that extra time to give Jase a bath. Thankfully, the half-hour of soaking time took most of the color out and all that was left was a little color around his nails. LOL

The Greatest Show on Earth

Jase's Grandpa Jack and Grandma took him, me, Rob, Julie and Anna to the Ringling Bros. Barnum and Baily's Circus. We got there early and were able to go onto the floor for some hands on and up personal circus activities.

Jase got to wear a vest from the circus wardrobe
And him and Da-Da got to pretend they were doing stunts on the trike
We also got sit on the center stage.
Jase enjoyed curling up with Grandpa Jack and watching the show.

Daddy shared his clown cup snow cone during intermission which totally pumped Jase up for the second half of the show.
If you ask Jase about the circus, the first thing he mentions is the elephants. They where his favorite! He kept grabbing the camera and holding it up wanting me to take pictures of them. He actually helped me take this one. I held the camera and he snapped the pic.

Grandpa Jack was gonna make sure Jase didn't go home empty handed. So of course, what did Jase pick out....

An Elephant!!!

Which he carried the entire way home!

Easter Cookies

It was our job to bring dessert to Easter dinner, so we decided to make sugar cookies. Jase did all the work, though:

He mixed up the cookie dough...

He rolled out the dough and cut out the cookies...

Then he put on the finishing touches by painting them in pretty pastel Easter colors.

Kids Say the Darndest Things

Mr. Chatterbox has really been cracking us up lately with some of the things that has been coming out of his mouth. I thought I'd share with you some of the best:

1.) When Jase goes potty here at the house he sits on a little seat that nestles into the regular seat of the toilet. Well, we were at Toy's R Us in the bathroom and I go to put him on the pot. He looks at the toilet...looks at me like I am crazy...and says, "Ma-ma, it's too big!"

2.) I was putting a little telephone stand up in the attic while Jase was watching cartoons. I had pulled the attic ladder down and was half way up with the stand in tow when Jase came running down the hall hollaring at me, "MA-MA! BE CAREFUL!"

3.) We were walking through the little convience store by our house buying some hotdogs and buns for dinner. We walked past a display of Miller Lite and Jase got all excited and told the cashier, "Look, It's Kurt Busch!"

4.) We were in the car the other day and Jase, out of no where says, "Ma-ma, your hair is black, and mines is yellow."

Now that I am sitting down trying to write them all down, my mind has gone blank. I'll just have to do another blog like this sooner so I don't have so many of them to remember. Hope they made you laugh, though!

Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

Every year our neighborhood holds an Annual Easter Egg Hunt. We've been before with Allyson, but this was the first year Jase went. He really had a blast. He found eggs that were in the easy spots and some that were pretty tough to find. The poor little think was too passive and slow, though, cause he would spot one, and before he had a chance to get it some other kid had already snatched it up. It was really a nice event, though. Here are some of the pictures from it. Of course Jase's favorite Leapleys were there.
Let the Easter Egg Hunt begin!
Jase was found one in the bush.
Jacob gave him a helping hand.
Finding some eggs that were really hidden.
And he found some way up high in the tree.
And some on Mr. Leapley's work table.
Opening his eggs to see what surprises were in them.
He had just as much fun getting the "candy canes" out of the eggs as he did finding the them.

See, a "candy cane" LOL

After everything was done, Jase found a quite spot to re-examen his loot.

And of course I'm not gonna be at the Leapley's with such handsome men and not take some pics with the scenery. I'd die for their house with that view!
