The "Jase" Puppet

Today, at school, Jase made a "Jase Puppet."

He loves this thing! The entire car ride home he was holding it saying, "I love myself." "I love me." "When I get home, I'm going to play with me."
Too cute!

Game 4

We are half way through the season and Jase is slowely but surely getting more involved in the games.

Running after the ball.

He is an expert at corner kicks!

Coach Ellen did the half time devotional and tricked all the players, parents and fans into doing the hokie-pokie! You can see Jase and Rob in the bottom left-hand corner of the picture putting their "left foot" in! LOL

Riding the Tire Swing Horse

Rob got the tire horse swing hung over the weekend and today was the first nice day we had to play on it. At first Jase was very hesitant about even sitting on it.

But as soon as I gave him his first push, he was riding that horse like a rough and riding cowboy. He was shouting out "yee-haw" and kept yelling "giddy-up!"

Playing the Piano

Jase has been coming home from school on music days so excited because the music teacher plays a real piano. I told him Grandma Betty has a piano. We have been over my parents a gazillon times, and he never noticed the piano sitting in the living room. So, today, my mom played a few tunes with Jase and Anna playing accompaniment.

Haley's 2nd Birthday

Today we headed to VA to celebrate Haley's 2nd Birthday in Elmo World!

Having a drink with the birthday girl.

The start of the cake mess.

He was determined not to miss a crumb.

He liked it so much he was trying to lick every last bit of icing off his face.

Watching Haley open her presents.

Happy Birthday Haley!!!
We had so much fun at your Elmo party!!!

Game 3

Jase woke himself for the game by playing on the play ground.

Game time!!!
Jase getting introduced by the announcer. He looks so serious with his tongue sticking out.

Corner kick.

Going through the victory tunnel at the end of the game!

The Fair is Back in Town

This year, we went to the County Fair on Wednesday night and let me tell you, this will be the only day I will ever go again! No lines, cheap rides, and parents got to ride for free! We went with the Portzen's and the kids all had a blast.

It was hilarious watching these two get a car. They were the last ones in to ride and most of the cars where taken. Every time they would spot one and start to go in the empty car's direction, kids would hop in it. You should have seen the panic in both of their faces when the only cars they saw empty were pink ones. Finally, they spotted this lonely red car in the corner and sprinted to it! It was hilarious!
All night Jase kept asking to ride the train. But is was on the complete opposite side of the fair grounds. So before we left we took him to ride it...3 times!!! Even though it was the slowest thing he rode, he loved it! I think he liked the fact that he could ride it all by himself!

My Baby is Four!!!

I can't believe my baby is four. Even after all the celebrating we did over the weekend, it is still hard to believe. Although mommy and daddy had to work today and Jase had soccer practice, we still tried to make the day special for Jase. When he woke up, Grandma Alice gave him a present to open. Play-doh Puppy!

When Mommy got home from work, we played trains and Jase was the conductor.
He put on his conductor's outfit and went around the house hollering, "All Aboard!"
At practice, his "soccer mates" sang happy birthday and everyone got a cup cake.

And after a birthday dinner of his choice (which of course meant McDonald's) he got to open the cards that had came in the mail and his presents from Mommy and Daddy.

You are growing up so fast on us little man! I hope you are enjoying everyday of your life as much as we are. Thank you for blessing us with the best four years of our lives and we are so looking forward to all the years to come!

The Day After the Party

Jase woke up the day after his party super excited to start playing with his new toys. Just like last year, he called Joy over to play with him.

And he played till he wore himself out!
Clonked out on his new pillow bet cuddled up in his new bedding.

Jase's Super Hero Birthday Party

Today was Jase's Super Hero Birthday Party. He had 15 little friends and lots of adults that love him join in the celebration. The kids were just running around the yard and playing with the outdoor toys when the party first started.

Then, everyone sat down for a little bite to eat. Hero sandwiches for our superheros!
Then, they each took a turn going through the Superhero Obstacle Course so they could get their Superhero cape.

First, they had to make it through the steps without getting tripped up.

Then, they had to weave and bob their way through the noodles.

Last, they had to crawl through the tunnel. And if Jase wasn't running through the obstacle course again and again, he was cheering his superhero friends on!
Then the kids pretended the fire truck was an ice cream truck, and jumped on board to help deliver ice cream.

It was so awesome watching all of them use their imagination. All the kids were running up to the "ice cream truck" and ordering imaginary ice cream.
All that talk about ice cream, got them wanting the real stuff! So, we sang Happy Birthday and ate some cake and ice cream.

Once again, my cake lady did an amazing job!
Jase was checking it out.
Waiting for us to sing
He got a little bashful when we were singing to him.
Yay, Jase!!!
Making the first cut.

Volunteering to eat any one's uneaten cake and ice cream.
Present Time!!!

As he headed over to the present table he immediately spotted the tractor Brian, Gloria, Aunt Lizzie and Grandma Alice got him.

He loved it so much he wouldn't even get off of it to open his presents, so he opened them while sitting on the tractor.

"I'll take ya for a ride on my big green tractor"
One of his favorite songs!
The last party activity was the pinata.

Jase was first to take a swing.

Then him and Rudd were smart as they got in Push-Up John's lap to watch the rest of the kids take their turns, far away from the swinging bat!

As the party began to wind down, some of the kids ended up inside.

"Five little monkeys jumping on the bed...."

Abby stayed most of the night playing with Jase and the two of them were getting into a little mischief. I caught it all on camera, though.

"What? I wasn't doing anything!"
And the little boogers were on a sugar high the rest of the night!
Jase had a blast at his party, and I think all his superhero friends did, too! Thank you everyone who came and made this day special for him!
