Hannah's Royal Gala

Jase and Hannah, my parent's neighbors, have become great little friends. So, Jase attended her Royal Gala celebrating her 3rd birthday (hence the prince crown in the previous blog). She got a really cool water/sand pirate ship that all the kids loved even though it had no sand or water in it. LOL

And as Jase tends to do lately, he analyzed the party and said the cake was his favorite part. He was in awe over the castle cake. But then specified that "EATING" the cake was his favorite part.

Cute Cousins

Makenzie was in town again and these two were like peas and carrots! They love each other so much. They both begged me all day for Jase to spend the night. Who can say 'No' to such precious little faces?!?! So Paw-Paw Jack (Pe-Pop) and Grandma Betty (Me-Mom) where very happy grandparents with all their Grandbabies!

Lowes

Due to Rob stabbing himself in the ankle with a box cutter (which is another story for another day) I got to take Jase to his Lowes workshop. We made a planter for Earth Day which I think was also a ploy for Lowes because Jase insisted on buying flowers to plant in his planter. But I took this picture of him hamming one of the nails in, and although the hammer is covering most of his face, if you look closely he has a heck of an expression on his face!

That nail didn't stand a chance! LOL

Prince Jase

Jase got an invitation to his friend's 3rd birthday party, which just happens to be a Royal Gala. The invitation was cut out in a really cool castle and Jase asked me to read it. So I did and at the end of the invitation it says how you can wear your "Princess attire. He got very up set saying that he wanted to dress up like a "boy princess". So, off to Michael's we went were we found all the fixings for a Prince's crown.

After we made the crown, he went to show Grandma Alice and ended up putting on her snuggie so he could have a Prince's robe, too!

My Men and Their Green Thumbs

My gardeners have been very busy this week laying new beds and planting new flowers. First they planted some flowers around the mailbox (including tulips which I have been wanting for years now! YaY!)

Then they laid out a new bed by our privacy fence. Check out Jase's gardening gloves! LOL

Quality Time with Great-Grandma Gouldman

Today we went and spent the day with Jase's Great-Grandma Gouldman, Aunt Janet and Uncle Andy (who he met for the first time today). We headed outside to leave, which of course just moved the conversation from inside to outside for the next 45 minutes. During that time, Jase and Great-Grandma Gouldman had a time chatting it up on the front porch. It was so precious watching him chit-chat with her and sit on her lap and have her pick him up so they could play with the wind chimes. They were both grinning from ear-to-ear spending that quality time together.

Play Date with his Cuz

Today Allyson came to visit and Jase and her had a blast playing in the backyard. They jumped on the moon bounce, played on the swing set and ran around pretending they where wild animals.

I don't know whether it was the color of his shirt, or the sun, but his baby blues are almost clear in this picture. He's gonna be a heart breaker!

Easter Sunday

The Easter Bunny Left Jase a basket full of goodies!

He apparently went and peeked in the living room to see if the Easter Bunny came before coming and waking us up because Rob and I were awoken to the sound of little feet running down the hall and a big, happy voice hollering, "The Easter Bunny ate all the carrots and filled my basket with goodies!" He was so excited!

Dressed Up for Church

Then we got all dressed up in our Sunday best and headed to Easter services.

Easter Egg Hunt at the Leapley's

Jase said that the Easter Egg Hunt was his favorite part of Easter.

Aunt Lizzie helped him find search for eggs.

And his favorite part of the Easter Egg Hunt was opening the eggs up to see what surprises where in them.

Group Photos

You know I'm not gonna let the holidays pass by with out getting group photos.

Shell Collecting

Jase and Daddy always try to make their special days together fun. Today they went over the bridge and collected sea shells along the shore line of the Potomac River.

Dying Eggs Round 2

Although we already colored eggs with our friends and family, we needed some for Easter morning. So we colored more eggs tonight. And once again, the spoon was just in the cups as a prop.

It looked like he was turning into the Incredible Hulk!

Daddy (and Mommy) colored Easter eggs, too!

And Grandma colored "AN" egg and then watched her boys have fun.

When the eggs dried, we decorated them with stickers. I guess Jase has an egg head because he started putting the stickers on his face!

What beautiful eggs we made!

Jase wanted to show you all his favorite egg!
