Next task was the tree. Friday night we got it up and put the lights and star on. We didn't decorate it till Sunday. Just like last year, Jase was all about the star!
And after putting up the star, Jase could have cared less that there weren't any decorations on the tree.
Sunday, the boys headed outside to put the lights up. Jase was such a big helper to Rob.
Then, it was time to trim the tree. Jase was so funny, cause he only wanted to hang certain ornaments. He really liked these ginger bread ornaments (which worked out really good because we had two sets of them so we ended up using a set on his tree...but that is another story all in itself that I'll get to in a bit). But he would dig through all the ornaments looking for those and after they were all hung, he was done.
He did hang his annual ornament, though. We decided his first Christmas that every year we would buy him one ornament that represented him or what he was in to that year. Then many, MANY years from now, when he moves out, he will have his own set of ornaments. This years ornament was...a Monster truck, of course!
Since he wasn't into decorating the family tree, I told him he could go decorate his tree. He has a little tree in his room. Before he could get started, he had to set up all his "aminals" or as he calls them "his kids" (with snacks) so they could watch him trim his tree.
In the living room, we told him he had to spread the ornaments out and was doing a really good job about not bunching them up. He might not have done so good with his tree...
He's hung them all. Can you find them?
Let me help you out....How bout now?
Yes...he put 8 ornaments...ALL on ONE branch! LOL
And he thought it was just perfect!
And I think he is perfect!
So we are decorated and patiently awaiting Santa!
