Jase's cousin, Joy, goes to the local elementary school. They were having a fall festival and Joy invited us to come with her. It was a really nice event. There were all kinds of games and activities that kids of all ages could enjoy.
One of the first games they played was a ball toss. Jase got 1 of 3 balls in. Not bad for a 3 year old!
Then they had to toss a ball and try to knock down a pyramid of cans. The lady said that Jase was the only little to knock them all down!
Then they had to dig through corn kernels to try to find tiny black beans. If they found one, they got a prize.
Next up, was the tricycle race. Jase was trying so hard to peddle by himself. I think he could have done it, but the tricycle was really messed up. I had trouble even pushing it.
For the moose game, you had to use the stick to pick up the rings and put them on the moose's antlers. He used the stick like he does his fork. He used his hands to help put the ring on the stick, and then used his hands to help get the ring off the stick and onto the antler just like he uses his hands to put the food on his fork and uses his hand to make sure all the food makes it into his mouth. LOL
My favorite station was the craft table. They had a table set up where one of the teachers helped the kids make pine cone turkeys. I almost cried seeing Jase sitting there, following all the instructions the teacher gave him and doing it all by himself. And when she asked how he spelled his name so he could leave it there and let it dry, he spelled it for her. How awesome is that! And his turkey turned out really cute!
Next up was face painting. The white paint was clumpy and the art teacher had troubles with Jase's smiley face, but Joy's turned out really good.
One of the last stations we went to was the balloon station where Jase asked the man to make an orange Indian hat for him so it would match his shirt and the Cheetos all over his hands and face.
It was a cute little even and Jase came home with a bag full of candy and prizes.
