Happy Halloween!

Jase was so excited about Halloween this year. He decided on his own what he wanted to dress up as...Muno (off of the show Yo Gabba Gabba). Of course, I couldn't find a costume anywhere. So, my amazingly talented cousin Karen and I made his costume. We had no clue what we were doing. We used a pattern for a hooded suit and tweaked it to make it work for Muno. The funny thing is...neither one of us had ever used a pattern before! The first day we worked on it we worked for 13 hours straight, received numerous hot glue gun burns and fought with the sewing machine for about an hour after midnight before calling it quits. Karen fixed the sewing machine the next morning and finished it in record time. The next weekend, Jase and I went back down there for hemming and a final fitting. Another couple of hours was spend making the hat work, but we did it! And, if I do say so myself, we did an awesome job!!!

This year we went trick-or-treating with Jase's best friends, Jozi and Alek, and his cousins, Allyson, Jacob, and Joy. Allyson was the first to arrive and we got them all dressed in their costumes and ready to go!

Jozi and Alek were the next to arrive. Jozi and Jase were so excited to see each other in their costumes. It was really cute watching them react to each other.

We were waiting for Jacob and Joy to arrive, but the kids starting getting restless. They were wondering what the hold up was and were getting tired of all the pictures.

Next thing we knew, they were taking off down the road with out us!

Jacob and Joy pulled onto our street while we were about 4 houses down the road and it didn't take them long to catch up. It just stinks because I couldn't get any pictures of them with Jase:( It didn't take them long to take off either. We were together for about 5 houses and then the three older kids were gone. I guess Jase and Jozi were walking too slow for them. When they first started off, they wanted mommies and daddies to hold their hands and go up with them. But, before long, they were going up to the houses all by themselves! I took a couple pictures of the two of them going up to a the houses, but they didn't turn out very well.

And can you believe these two little precious things walked all the way around our mile long neighborhood without once complaining of being tired or asking to be held. They didn't even let us carry their extremely full and extremely heavy pumpkins for them.
Jase really had a great time. It drizzled on us for about 5 minutes, but it never rained too heavy where we needed to cut trick-or-treating short. The kids didn't even acknowledge the rain. They had only one agenda on their minds and that was to get more candy!!! Hope you all had as spooktacular of a night as we did! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
