Our Long Weekend in OC with the Portzens

We are so blessed to have wonderful friends that invited us to join them on their family vacation. So, Thursday evening we packed up the car and headed to the beach! We crammed so many activities in such a short amount of time. But everyone enjoyed every minute of it!

The Hotel
The hotel we stayed at was really nice. We had an ocean view and the back door opened up to a little deck that had steps that led straight to the beach. Their was also an atrium with exotic birds and an indoor pond with huge fish and a bunch of little turtle.

Beach Time
You can't go to the beach without going to the beach...
Jase got a boogie board and thought it was a surf board. Last year we couldn't get him to get in the water, and this year, when the water was freezing and the surf was ridiculously rough, we couldn't get him to stay out of it!

And all 5 kids (Yes! Rob and Chris would definitely be considered kids!) spent lots of time playing in the sand. They made sand castles and buried Kyle.

Go-Carts
We all enjoyed the go-carts so much that we went twice. The first time we went it was at night, and the second time it was during the day. Both times Jase loved it. He just hollers "WEEE!" the whole time. And he'll holler, "Turn left! Turn right!" It is so much fun taking him for a ride.

The Boardwalk
We went to the boardwalk at least once everyday. Most days, we went twice. We did everything from sight seeing, shopping, playing on the playgrounds, bike riding and riding rides.

For over half Jase's life he has wanted to ride the bumper cars, and finally, we found ones he was allowed to ride. Kyle took him for the ride of his life, too! Apparently it was so exciting, it wore him out.
Putt-Putt

Any time you asked Jase what he wanted to do he said putt-putt. We actually went right outside of Ocean City and and found a really nice course. The course itself was nice, and there was hardly anyone there.

Jase got very excited when he saw the tiger and asked me to take a picture of him with it for his Grandma Betty.
We had such a great time!
The weather and company where perfect!
